This Should Be Interesting

I have work today and Mr. Ibis is going to be home but has some things to do (yardwork etc.) so he's bringing his mom over to watch the baby. I have no objections to this per se but I question the practicality of this arrangement. My mother in law is elderly, has poor eyesight, and doesn't get around well. I don't foresee her being able to:

put Miles into or take him out of his swing

ditto the Bumbo chair

sit on the floor or even put him down on the floor or pick him up off the floor

carry him around the house

This pretty much leaves sitting on the couch with Miles in her lap, which is what she always does on a visit. But that's going to last, ohhhh ten minutes? Fifteen if she's lucky? He's a very busy boy now, especially when he's in our house, which has become boring and needs to be constantly ransacked for new things to do/grab/chew.

But hey. They will figure it out. I'm more afraid for her than I am concerned for Miles.
