At home the Unicorn is pretty mellow. He sleeps all day and then in the evening he wants attention, he wants to eat, play a game, and then "watch TV" which is what we call it when he lays in front our our full-length glass storm door watching the world go by.
When we bring him anywhere, though, he is like a preschooler on crack. He gets so excited about going to Grandma's (we don't have to tell him; he knows the route) that he makes these crazy moaning noises ALL THE WAY THERE. When we get there he does a quick home inspection to see if there is anything he can get into that he's not supposed to. Grandma buys cheap stuffed toys for him to tear apart and he often spends most of the time ripping the guts out of some dollar store stuffy.
Last night he thoroughly disemboweled a stuffy and then wandered down the hall to the bedrooms. It's a short hall and he was gone for several minutes so the alarm in my head started going off. The Unicorn is already training me to be a mommy; I know when my 'kid' is too quiet he's up to no good. So I called for him, and MIL protested, "Oh, he's fine, all the doors are closed." But I knew he wasn't fine and kept craning my neck to see what he was doing while MIL kept insisting it was fine, fine, fine. Finally Mr. Ibis and I both got up and sure enough, the doors weren't all closed and the Unicorn was in the guest room chowing down on cat food.

My one pup LOVES cat food and does the same thing at our ILs house. And then his breath smells all fishy and gross!
