Day of Remembrance

Today is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Day. Please spread the word on your blog, on Facebook, on message boards, and perhaps in person.

Roughly 20% of known pregnancies end in miscarriage, stillbirth, or late loss. Almost 30,000 infants die in the US every year, about a third due to preterm birth. If you would like to demonstrate your support for those who have lost, or remember you own lost little ones, light a candle tonight at 7 pm your time and let it burn for one hour.

We lost Baby Wednesday on January 3rd, 2009 at about nine and a half weeks gestation. He or she will always be our first baby and will never be forgotten.
